Gigantolepus nonalessienis

A isle with the name "Nonaless" is aparted from the continents since thousands of years.
The only mammalian inhabitants were Rodents, Lagomorphs, Insectivores and Bats. They became special roles in the new environment and now only less things on the new species remembers their ancestors.
This is the Idiahuk (Gigantolepus nonlessiensis). It's a big Lagomorph which lives in small family-groups on the graslands of Nonaless. It has a stocky body and a thick pelt like a Bison and its ears and legs are reduced, so the Idiahuk, a descendant of the Rabbits, is no longer a flighting animal.
The diet of the Gigantolepus insists various gras-species. On "rainy days" the different groups became one big herd and searching together for water and food. Against his fertile ancestors the Idiahuk becomes only one young in four years. The young is finishy developed but needs the coming years much caring from the mother. With six years the young Gigantolepus is mature.
This animal isn't intelligent as most other relatives but big, fast and tough.
