Description
My contest entry for Hell Creek's contest "Year of the Dragon".
In this scene some hatchlings of the Crowned Dragon of the Five Colours have a quite hard start in the life by Down's Hidden Dragon, who digged out their "tumulus" to enjoy some egg n' bacon.
For all who don't got it: The featured species are Guanlong wucaii and Yinlong downsi.
As far as I know mound nests aren't confirmed for Dinosaurs (particularly Tyrannosauroids), so this is just speculative, but Crocodiles and some birds today use that method to incubate their offspring, so it's not overspeculated in my opinion.
Off all things the early Ceratopsian eating the Tyrannosauroid chicks is an interesting speculation also. Everyone who grew up with Dinosaurs know about the deadly conflict between Tyrannosaurus and Triceratops, but has someone thought about who started this feud?

Interesting. I've also wondered who started the famous duel between Velociraptor and Protoceratops. Was the raptor protecting it's offspring or vice versa?
